Its goo to know that it can cause such reactions, mate. However, it would be a teensy bit cheeky of me to claim lots of credit for the core story since, at its heart, its Sir Bedivere returning Excalibur to the Lady Of The Lake after Arthur's death. I just sort of put my own weird slant on the whole thing. :P

That put a chill down my spine... probably amplified by some surprisingly appropriate accompaniment (if you don't have Helios' album Eingya Keith I'll need to loan you it or make a copy or something: the track "First Dream Called Ocean" is eerily concordant with this piece...)

I'm glad you broke the "rules" and polished this one, it's brilliant. Again I want to know more: it feels like a glimpse at a fully realised world with a big story going on... can't decide if I'm more intrigued to know what comes next or what led the knight here, but I'm intrigued!

Awesome.

I love it. I love the way you've evoked the tangle and tension of battle. I love the study in human nature: becoming captivated by something/someone and aware of that captivation but unable to explain it. Most of all though I love how you've risen to my (unintentional) challenge - there's no fear here: this is joy and wonder and humanity's best all shining out from the page. Thank you!

Nice.

This one feels more self contained than the last - there's certainly scope for it to go on (or indeed back) and the world you've created there is compelling enough that I definitely want to know more about it. It isn't as frenetically gripping as the last piece though and the ending feels like an end... puts me in mind of a Philip K. Dick short story (in the style and substance, nothing specific).

Mission accomplished on the positive feel and sense of wonder. You could go further: the narrative is still driven by fear, even though that turns out to be unfounded. It would be really fun to read you using a different driving force...

Nice. Enjoyed that, I did get a more positive bird, a feeling of panic but tinged with wonder too.
